John Messenger
Volunteer Coach
CoEd Varsity Crew
John Messenger joined the Nauset Tech Crew team as a volunteer coach in the Spring of 2013 and has continued with the program ever since. Originally from Indiana, John rowed in high school at Culver Academy and later at Yale University. John recently retired from a career in financial systems and previously taught for several years at Fryeburg Academy. He and his wife Julie moved to Cape from Scituate in 2010 and together they have 3 grandsons ages 5 months to 6 1/2 - each showing promise as oarsmen. John, also volunteers with Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands.
