Chapter 3 What Wind?????????

Game Date
Apr 19, 2013
Score
WARRIORS: 2
PLYMOUTH SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: 16

Nauset AAA had a very emotional week. As we drove to Plymouth, the Sagamore Bridge was closed for a short period of time. At the exit on route 3 there were 15 police vehicles lined up. We arrived safely and the game began in a 25 mph wind.

The Plymouth South pitcher had two shut outs her last two games and was determined to make it three. The score was 16-2 in the favor of South.

In the first inning Nauset AAA had a great double play. Sam Tavano made a nice catch in center and threw to first for a inning ending double play.Nauset batters had 7 hits for the day. Morgan Brown had two hits . Whitney Enobakhare had one hit and an RBI. Emma Stevens had  a double and an RBI. Kelly Rotherberger, Taylor Hughes, and Sabrina Santos all had hits. We are swinging the bat much better.

The defense played well. The team is getting better everyday. The infield of Becca Miller, Taylor, Sabrina, and Emma, played a solid game with great plays. Kelly had a great game behind the plate. Our goals for the game were met. The girls are becoming a team. One important note: with a 25 MPH wind the team caught 8 out of 8 fly balls, and that was no easy task.We hope that Boston quiets down and we remember all who suffered this week.
