SANDWICH HIGH SCHOOL: 20
Nauset AAA played their first home game of the season against a powerful Sandwich team. The first 4 innings saw the Nauset team without a hit. The score after 4 was 12-0 Sandwich. In the fifth, a couple of walks and a key double by Morgan Brown started things of. Nauset hit the ball hard all day.
Nauset AAA never gave up during the game. In the last inning they scored 6 runs to narrow it to 20-11. The hitting stars were Whitney Enobakhare who had a long double and a single plus a walk. Emma Stevens played a solid first base and had a long double in the last inning. Other hits were Sabrina Santos, Becca Miller, and Shanice Kelly. Kelly Rotherberger was on base twice. Sam Tavano stole home.
The team shows improvement each game. We saw the ball and hit it hard. Coach Jerry and Coach Manley are happy with the consistency on the field and at bat.
